The Amazing Floating Egg Lab

Ingredients
Observation of egg in water before adding ingredients
# of teaspoons added

Observation when water carefully added
Salt







It sank to the bottom.

Egg slowly started to float.

It sank to the bottom.

Egg slowly started to float.
It kept on floating.
Sugar
It sank to the bottom.

It sank.
Baking Soda
It sank to the bottom.

It floating but barely.


·         What did you notice while using each ingredient?
·         Why do you think this occurred (use scientific language)?
·         Did everything go well during the lab? If no, what would you change next time?
Conclusion? When we put all of the ingriedients they all floated but some took longer to float because it isn't as dense.  I think because it makes it more dense and if we put water it would get less denser.  our group worked out good but we should put the water more carefully next time.
